CAUTION – Will probably get stuck in your head.

Get this crap.  Some former member of the Fallen Earth team have been slaving way at making a…  Wait for it…  Farscape MMO!  That’s pretty cool and stuff, but there is some bad news.  Their funding dried up after 6 months into it.  This is pulled from Massively

“In a nutshell, Hammock and other Fallen Earth ex-patriots signed on with a startup company a couple of years ago. Said company claimed to have $150 million in funding, so the devs jumped into pre-production (which included a design document, over 200 pages of content iteration, and meetings with Farscape creator Rockne O’Bannon and Jim Henson Studios). After six months of work, funding dried up and the startup’s CEO left the devs empty-handed.”

Now if that ain’t a stick in the eye I don’t know what is.  I wasn’t the biggest fan of Fallen Earth myself.  It wasn’t a bad game or bad setting, but I just couldn’t get into it for some reason.  I do think they would have done a bang-up job with the Farscape MMO.  In case you have no idea what Farscape is, I’ll give you a couple of minutes to do some google research or watch it on netflix now.

Doo…  Dee… Doo… Doo… Dum… Dee… Dum… Dum…

Wasn’t that just the shit!  Of course it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.  Some people didn’t like the space muppets thing, or the cheesy plots and dialogue.  If you were like me and loved it for all the brilliance and stupidity then this news was as exciting as a nice tit grab followed up with an uncomfortable widgie in the locker room.  But lemon-aid out of lemons, if you click on the little Hynerian Warriors it will take you to the blog of Lee Hammock where he has done some nice documentation of some of the development they had while making it.

Now if you excuse me, I’m going to watch The Peacekeeper Wars and load a gun.
